First in our guide is this rather awesome little tactical wallet from Dango Products. The T01 Tactical is a wallet is made for guys that like to have a place for all their cards and likes to have access to a whole host of important tools. As well as space for up to 12 credit and other cards, most crucially, this tactical wallet features a multitool that provides you with more than 14 different functions. Some highlights include the ruler, nail prier, smartphone stand, 10 and 15mm hex, paracord tensioner and a sharpened and serrated edge. It also features the obligatory bottle opener.

The multitool above is made from CNC’d heat-treated high-carbon stainless-steel. This can be removed, making it ideal for using as just a wallet when you need to travel by air. The actual wallet itself is from top-grain leather and features a chassis that’s secure in place with mil-spec bolts. Even when there’s 6 cards inside the wallet and RFID-blocking and only has a thickness of 0.3-inches.

Their Steel Jacket Multitool wallet is a powerful combination of functionality and utility. At just 2.25 x 3.6-inches, it’s hardly very big at all. That doesn’t stop it being filled to bursting with awesome tools. Some of the tools that we’re especially excited by at Men’s Gear, are the bottle opener (that’s really a given, isn’t it?), the hex bolt wrenches, and 3 different screwdriver sizes.

In addition to the tools, there’s also space for storing 2 sizes of memory card and SIM card. It has also been designed and built with the TSA and their carry-on regulations in mind and is safe to take with you when you’re traveling by plane. Gerber is a company most famous for making high-quality and incredibly versatile knives and other cutting tools. So, it’s probably not very surprising that the main feature of this sexy and clever little GDC Money Clip is the fixed-blade knife. It can hold a total of 5 cards, which perhaps doesn’t sound like very many but considering how many things can be handled digitally by smartphone apps, it’s more than enough for the average modern man.

Our second tactical wallet from Gerber and this is very pleasing on the eyes. There’s space for up to 7 credit, debit or even business cards. Made from strong stainless-steel it still manages to be extremely lightweight and has an incredibly low-profile. Although it does not have a blade of any description, it does have a bottle opener and there’s a protective banner that means your cards will stay safely and snug.

So basically, you’ve got all you need to buy in the beers and can even play barkeep. We’d pair this with other EDC items, rather than using this as a sole item. Reliable, durable and practical are the three words we’d use to describe this.

We’re impressed with it being handcrafted, cut, burnished and stitched. You also get the benefit of mil-spec elastic and the leather itself is 4-ounce Wickett & Craig or Horween leather, 2 of the country’s last special-made tanneries.

It’s important to note that this does not include many of the tools pictured. You need to buy your own flashlight, pen and knife. But, if you’re after a safe and convenient place to store your little tools, this is a good option.

My oh my, be still my beating heart. That’s all that went through our minds when we first clapped eyes on the Sparkle Tmax multitool wallet. Set onto a 3D non-magnetic stamped-steel frame with top-grain leather cover, this is a wallet that’s designed for so much more than just holding cards. It only holds 3 to 5 cards, but we think this is more than enough. Especially when you consider what else it does. As well as the almost-now-standard RFID-blocking tech, this baby is jam-packed with useful features and functions. There’s a mini saw, knife, screwdriver, 5 different sizes of hexagon spanner, map locator, rope hook and cutter and, of course, a bottle opener. The bottle opener can also be used to break nuts, or glass. Or both. Really depends how your day’s going.

Like the Trayvax, we’ve featured the Ekster Senate tactical wallet on Men’s Gear before as part of our guide to minimalist wallets. We liked it then and we still like it now. Although it looks a bit odd with the cards popping out as they do, this is incredibly convenient when you’re looking to swipe that card you need. Especially important so you don’t look like an idiot in front of your hot date or a like you’re trying to skip paying your round of drinks with your buddies.

It’s been designed using top-grain Dutch and German leathers, so you can be sure it’s exceptionally robust and durable. There’s space for up to 8 cards and possibly even more, depending on how much hard currency you’re also packing. The main tactical element, besides the actual layout itself, to this wallet is the RFID-blocking tech, which has become more essential in the last few years. Besides all that, d’you know what? This is a handsome little thing.

The next tactical wallet from Dango Products is the Dango M1 Maverick. This is another little beauty of a wallet that doesn’t look like much but hides the body of a workhorse. It’s been made using 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum for the main chassis and has a DTEX water-resistant coating. In terms of its abilities as a wallet, it can comfortably hold around 12 cards and some hard cash too. It also has the RFID-signal blocking tech in its design that helps protect your money and identity.

Beyond that, it also has a few handy tools, that are always good to have at your disposal. Did you secretly get a little excited when you saw that the next item in our guide was the Spy Gear Tactical Wallet? We don’t blame you, because that’s exactly how we were when we looked at it to review it. But, hold your horses Lone Ranger, this is not actually a proper spy tactical wallet. Yes, we know! Outrageous! However, if you’ve got a small man who in your life wishes he was James Bond or someone similar, this will interest them.

Meant as a toy, it includes a motion-detector that works, an ink pen, voice recorder, mirror that helps you look around objects and underneath them and night vision goggles. Okay, so the night vision goggles are blue LED lights, but they do make it a little easier to see when dusk and night hits. The magnifying glass is perfect for hunting for those tell-tale signs of a saboteur, while you can even leave hidden messages and have them left for you that can only be read when you use the purple detection light. This is a lot of fun and a great way to stop little hands rooting through your own tactical wallet.

Next in our guide is this rather nifty tactical wallet from Bench Built. The military-grade wallet looks straightforward. That is, to the untrained eye. There’s space internally for between 5 and 7 cards and a money clip for your currency. That sounds all pretty normal. But, there’s more to it. As the cards sit securely, until you want one, you just tap the bottom and the pop up out the other end.

Our favorite element though is the magnetic band for the money clip. Basically, to hold cash securely in place, you remove the magnetized clip, place the money down. Then let the power of the magnet hold the money in place. If done correctly, it can even look like some kinda sleight of hand move.

Chameleon Tactical Wallet

Named after one of our favorite lizards here at Men’s Gear, the Chameleon tactical wallet is so called because it can be used and worn in several different ways. On the inside, there’s room for cards of any sort in 2 triple-step compartments, as well as a zippered compartment made from mesh for small tokens and items. If you have a driver’s license or other ID that you need quick access to, there’s the ID card pocket with viewing window. And then there’s a further pocket which can be accessed from the side.

For anything you don’t want to keep in view, there’s also a hidden compartment that can be accessed from the side and has a zipper closure. This camo-style military wallet has Velcro to close it and you can wear it in a few different ways, either around your neck using an adjustable loop of paracord or to your actual belt. Rugged and made for all situations, this is a great tactical wallet.

To say this is a secure wallet is an understatement. When it locks itself, it’s tightly sealed and thanks to the use of the company’s patented RFID-blocking tech design, it protects against cloning, as well as cracking and crushing of all your cards. With space for 8 cards and around 10 bills, this is a very streamlined and tidy pocket solution that has a few tricks up its sleeve.

The biggest draw for us, besides the robustness and durability, is the ingenious way it functions. Once you’ve shut it and it locks itself securely automatically, to open it you need to press the special button. Once you’ve done that, it springs into action and opens itself up. It’s really a lot cooler than you might think.

As you can probably guess from the images, the aim Obstructures had with designing and creating the Hardcoat wallet was to minimize the size of ordinary wallets as much as possible. Their goal was to provide the same kind of carrying solution that other passport and credit card holders offered, without all that uncomfortable and unattractive bulk. It features 3 plates of anodized-aluminum that can hold a number of your most essential cards, passport and a reasonable amount of paper money.

As these are very modular, you can switch and change between 3-plate and 2-plate design with no trouble, depending on what you need at the time. In addition to the RFID-blocking teched out space for holding your cards, there’s also spare O-rings that can be used to attach and carry extra EDC items with your mini wallet and you’ve guessed it, it’s got a bottle opener too. From Pelican, the Micro Sport wallet is a tactical wallet that doesn’t look like a wallet at all. Someone in our team thought it was just a glasses case when we had it up on the screen. Again, this wallet has space for 5 cards, and it features the awesome multitool that gives you just about everything you could ever need in one handy little stainless-steel piece. TSA-approved, you can take the wallet on flights, if you leave the sharp little multitool around.

The multitool itself is quite minimalist compared to others in our guide, but still incredibly useful with wrenches, sharp edges and a ruler. For the days when you don’t need the tool, simply leave it at home. You’ll notice that it’s even more lightweight than it is with the multitool. Either way, MGear are known for their stylish minimalist EDC and tactical solutions and this is another great addition to their line of products.

Magpul DAKA Everyday Wallet

Magpul are known for making wallets that do not compromise on space, while remaining sublimely minimalist. It’s supremely functional and made from a reinforced and strengthened polymer fabric that will meet the test of a whole lot of use and abuse. Durable, strong and slim are three words we’d use to describe it. If you’re already a fan of Magpul wallets and tried their DAKA Essential wallet, you’ll be interested to learn that this is around 10% bigger than that one and capable of holding around 3 to 7 cards, without hindering the comfort of this baby sitting in your pocket.

As it’s been welded during the construction process, you can be sure that it has virtually impenetrable seals. It’s not uncomfortable though, as the corners have been rounded off to making it easier to slip in and pull out of your pocket. As well as protecting your cards from RFID-signals and the weather, it also protects against chemicals. So, if you’re prone to accidents or someone spills anything on it, either in your work environment or elsewhere, there’s no need to panic at all. You even have a separate ID window when you need to flash your library card like an FBI agent.

This is a great solution to the problem of those sexy and stylish, but utterly uncomfortable and impractical bifolds and trifolds we’ve all been suckered for way too long now. Rather than being made in a fashion house, real, hard-working engineers made this piece of practical and reliable metal and formed the amazing tactical wallet you see before you.

With spacer for an almighty 20 cards, that won’t add bulk or make this feel too weighed down, this is a smart option. The multitool is really what sells it and although it’s very streamlined, it’s got several different sized wrenches, other interesting and useful pieces of kit, and yes, a bottle opener. Even if you’re just fed up of the embarrassment of having to sift through your bulky and badly organized current wallet, this is a super-cool option. Plenty of people will ask you where you got it and please tell them who gave you that friendly nudge in the right direction towards it.

Titanium has been chosen by the company, like so many others, because of its toughness. It’s stronger than steel. But the real beauty is that all that strength does not equate to a heavier material. The main difference between this and the item above is the fact that this doesn’t have a multitool.

So, if you were bowled over by how sexy the other Calti looked but felt as if the multitool was a useless invention, you could opt for this beaut instead. It’s simple, lightweight, incredibly robust and just looks awesome in your hands. Go on, we know we’ve done enough to convince you. We really like this function, because often with these minimalist wallets, it can be a hard-enough task trying to pry the cards you want from out of them. Problem solved.

That means, if you’ve got several different NFC-compatible badges that you need to flash and swipe, you can easily switch between them without having to remove them. It just makes life easier and more convenient, while at the same time protecting your cards. The cards are not just protected from the elements inside this wallet, but also would-be thieves who use RFID-signals to try and clone cards. The detachable keychain and metal badge clip plus the lanyard gives this card holder an extra layer of versatility, as you don’t need to keep things in your pocket anymore!

When something’s made by a company like Armor Supply Co. you know it’s something made for serious use and abuse. That’s exactly what you get with this multitool tactical wallet. Rather than just being one component, this is several different elements that you get for the same competitively-low price. So, what do you get? A wallet tat has space for at least 12 cards and a money clip that can hold up to 5 bills (folded) The pictures of this wallet speak for themselves about just how practical and space-saving it is.

Probably the biggest selling point, the above aside, is the extra items that you get just for buying the wallet. These include the money clip, a key holder (self-explanatory, we think) and an awesome little multitool card. Now you’re gagging to know what’s in the multitool, aren’t you? Although we don’t really want to diss the name of the manufacturer, we do think New-Bring is a rather odd name for a company. There’s nothing odd about this hilariously functional and practical tactical wallet. Made from only the best aluminium, this has space to hold around 4 to 5 cards, provides the much-sought-after RFID-blocking tech to keep your identity, bank accounts and credit cards safe from cloning and unauthorised use and theft. But that’s not all this hot little wallet is capable of.

What else can it do? Well, to answer the problem of having both a bulky and awkward fat wallet and a set of keys in your pocket, you only need this product. It has space for around 4 to 6 keys, depending on their sizes of course. That way, you have all you need in a slimline and very portable little unit. And yes, it does have a bottle opener too.
