Before its official release, rumors were implying that OnePlus will be introducing two smartphone models instead of one. All of its past releases always featured one unit, but there always a first time for everything. The OnePlus 7 Pro is the high-end variant that is priced a little higher than what consumers expected. In fact, it’s up there with expensive flagships from other brands. However, with the specs it’s packing, we think it justifies the higher cost of owning this solid device.

The Galaxy S10 is the first of it’s kind to use punch hole for the selfie camera. Meanwhile, OnePlus has a different strategy. Similar to the Oppo Find X, Vivo NEX, and Huawei P Smart Z, the Pro version touts a pop-up camera module. It even teases a fancy function wherein the motorized camera automatically closes in case the user drops it.

If you’re not happy with the speed of the face unlock security due to the pop-up front-facing camera, another option is available. Just use the under-display fingerprint reader, which tests show to be lightning fast. Just like the OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 7 Pro uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. RAM size, on the other hand, goes up to 12 GB for the 256 GB unit, and 6 GB for the 128 GB version. Another highlight is the rear triple-camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel standard lens, a 16-megapixel wide-angle, and finally an 8-megapixel telephoto with 3x zoom.
