If you require a business jet that can transport a larger crowd as quickly as possible, Netjets America’s latest acquisition should make it happen. The company welcomes one of the world’s fastest civilian aircraft to its growing fleet for its clientele. A Bombardier Global 8000 — reportedly one of the first four ordered — will fly up to 19 passengers at a time.
While the rest of the private aviation firm’s older platforms are not yet to be decommissioned, plans are in place to replace all existing Global 7500s with Global 8000s. The target is 24 in total once all deliveries are complete. Subsequently, the latter will comfortably sit at the top as the flagship SKU moving forward.
With a maximum speed of up to 0.95 Mach, it evokes fond memories of the Concorde. The press release also points out that this new aircraft “boasts the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation production, enabling more restful travel – even on the longest of flights.” Aboard is a lavish cabin with four distinct zones available for customization.
Depending on the client’s needs, the layout can be adjusted. It can accommodate bespoke seats, a full-size bed, a stand-up shower, and so much more. The Global 8000 can maintain a cabin altitude of about 2,691 feet even when cruising at 41,000 feet. According to frequent flyers, this feature is beneficial against jet lag.
Netjets American notes that “owners can take meetings with a meal, watch a movie with family, and rest in the private stateroom for travel that emulates the rhythms of home.” If it were up to us, we would gladly choose the Global 8000 over first-class tickets on any commercial airliner.
