If you believe the Levante just doesn’t appeal to your tastes, Maserati has a more compact SUV on offer. After its international debut several months ago, the manufacturer announces a special North American launch for the Grecale PrimaSerie. The limited-edition machines embody elements from the Italian luxury marque’s Furoriserie personalization service.
Since buyers just love options, the Grecale PrimaSerie gets a Trofeo trim. This is by far the range’s best configuration which also sports an exclusive Giallo Corse yellow quad-coat paint job. Moreover, it packs a 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 with a 523-horsepower maximum output. It can zip to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.6 seconds and hit 177 mph.
Other notable tweaks include gloss crimson brake calipers behind its 21” Crio rims. Meanwhile, the cockpit features black upholstery with yellow contrast stitching. Next is the Grecale PrimaSerie Modena with a modest 2.0-liter L4 mill that produces 325 horsepower. Expect a 0-60 mph sprint in 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph.
The latter is available in more chromatic configurations such as Blu Nobile, Grigio Cangiante, and Bianco Astro. This Gregacle PrimaSerie rides on 21” Pegaso wheels with interiors configured to complement the colorway of your choice. The headrest stitching denotes its PrimaSerie distinction via a stylized script along with the Maserati’s iconic trident emblem.
Enjoy the upscale creature comforts that come with your Grecale PrimaSerie SUV. Sport power seats offer superior ergonomics and back support, while the Sonus Faber 21-speaker audio setup provides immersive entertainment. Maserati plans to produce only 325 examples for the North American market. Which of the trims strikes your fancy?
