As futuristic ideas go, a flying bicycle is pretty radical. However, not all innovation has to be complex, and so it proves with the simple yet utterly innovative Paravelo, the world’s first flying pedal bike. Take one look at this piece of kit and you will see that the design is completely simple, but this actually works, it actually flies.
The Paravelo has an electric motor that powers the biofuel fan on the rear, while the canvas shoot aids lift, drag, and helps to steer the bicycle while in the air. The Paravelo can reach frankly terrifying heights of 4,000 feet and reach speeds of 25 miles per hour in the air and 15 miles per hour on the ground.
If you are thinking that you are about to see the skies filled with flying bicycles then think again, the Paravelo is not in production yet as the company behind it is looking for funding on Kickstarter.
