As limited-edition motorcycles start to pile up for a 2026 release date, BMW Motorrad is spacing out its production lineup. Some might find it unfortunate that you have to wait until late 2027, but we don’t. There are three two-wheelers in total, based on the M 1000 R, M 1000 RR, and M 1000 XR. The trio is reportedly getting a 100 Jahre Nürburgring variant.
Catering to a wide range of applications, each unit is an outstanding tribute to the 100th anniversary of the legendary racing circuit. Although the tracks usually host automobiles, motorcycle enthusiasts are just as welcome to test their mettle. In fact, the world-class motorsports complex is not for amateurs, given its challenging layout.
If you plan to indulge in competitive endeavors, the ideal choice would be the 100 RR. However, for those who want a reliable moto for their daily commute or occasional open-road adventures, should pick the 100 R and 100 XR. The 100 Jahre Nürburgring configurations are exclusively cosmetic, as the press release points out.
“As part of the BMW M family, the Edition models of the M 1000 RR, the M 1000 R and the M 1000 XR combine motorsport tradition, exclusivity and performance at the highest level, while bringing the spirit of the Green Hell to the streets, all over the world,” writes BMW Motorrad.
Only 100 examples are due to ship worldwide next year, and each flaunts a striking paint job. The manufacturer calls it Nürburgring Green. Apart from the verdant color scheme, each 100 Jahre Nürburgring likewise receives special graphics of the Nordschleife racetrack, along with 100th anniversary decals. Elsewhere, the Alcantara-like upholstery of its saddle features a “100” embroidery.
