Portable water filters are handy when you run out of potable water while hiking, camping, or on any outdoor adventure. They clean even the murkiest stream or river water. PUROWAY offers this solution, albeit more conveniently than other brands, specifically those that require pumping or squeezing to filter, or sipping directly from the hose.
It relies on a USB-rechargeable battery to run the pump that activates the electric multi-stage filtration. A press of the button is all it takes to draw water through the six-stage filtration system. Its user-friendly interface involves simple steps: connect the inlet hose to a suitable freshwater source and direct the clean-water spout or outlet directly over a drinking container.
PUROWAY uses a layered filtration structure that processes water through several stages before it reaches the outlet. It first removes larger debris to help protect the finer filtration stages deeper inside the filter cartridge. Then activated carbon helps remove certain tastes and odors, while the fine filtration components provide additional physical filtration before dispensing potable water.
To expound on the process, PP cotton filters out silt, rust, and other large particles, then activated carbon removes residual chlorine, strange odors, and organic pollutants. Then ion exchange resin removes Ca2+ and Mg2+ to soften hard water, before it goes through a UF ultrafine membrane with 0.01 micron precision to remove bacteria, colloids, and other suspended matter. Another layer of PP cotton further filters out fine particles to ensure the purity of the water that comes out.
Aside from the filtration system, PUROWAY is designed for outdoor use. It’s compact, comes with a lanyard for carrying, and features a textured cylindrical body for grip comfort. It works with any USB-C power source and uses a replaceable filter cartridge.
