If you thought the 2025 Breakout was awesome, get ready for something a bit more exclusive this year. Sadly, Harley-Davidson just confirmed that this blacked-out variant of the latest model will only hit markets in Australia and New Zealand. For collectors, however, the only way to get their hands on one is to import their units. Since this is a limited production, it won’t be long before all are spoken for.
Motorcycle culture’s appeal is global, and manufacturers sometimes come up with special editions for certain regions. It looks like our friends over at the Land Down Under have luck on their side this time around. Although existing owners of the latest model year can customize their bikes with a blackout motif, others prefer a turnkey type of deal straight from the factory.
Moreover, you’re getting a menacing cruiser with the silhouette of a chopper. While this 2026 Breakout is indeed a cosmetic treat, there’s more to it than just an understated profile. At the core of every frame is a 1,923 cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom V-Twin. Output is 103 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque.
Harley-Davidson then mounts the chassis on gloss black, 26-spoke cast aluminum wheels. Tire sizes are listed as 130/60B21 for the front, while the rear is 240/40R18. Meanwhile, the bodywork flaunts a Black Denim coat. The rest are a combination of Blackline graphics and other dark muted tones. Overall, it looks badass and elegant.
The 2026 bike also features a traction control system, an anti-lock braking system, a drag-torque slip control system, and electronic linked braking. “Originally inspired by the stripped-back styling and rebellious spirit of Harley-Davidson customs, the new black-trim Breakout broadens the appeal of the model for riders seeking a more performance-inspired factory-custom option.”
