An electric standing scooter is the urban daily driver of choice when parking space is a premium. Most feature a locking hinge, which allows owners to fold the stem for portability or easy storage. Augment presents the 360 — marketed as a “foldable e-moped” with “next-level engineering.” Moreover, the company claims it is “the future of mobility.”
It’s a catchphrase many manufacturers throw around these days, but don’t just take their word for it. Instead, a bit of research will help you figure out if there are selling points that matter. If it checks all the right boxes, then it’s likely worth the investment. The 360 does not incorporate the same folding mechanism people expect from green rides of its type.
Instead, it’s the single-sided swingarm and footpegs. To minimize its physical footprint, the rear wheel flips forward to lock underneath the seatpost. Its frame is built out of aluminum to keep weight in control with no compromise to structural stability. It measures 1555 mm x 609 mm x 1010 mm when all parts are where they need to be.
Meanwhile, Augment lists the dimensions at 1265 mm x 350 mm x 1180 mm when the 360 is folded, which does not take up much room. Elsewhere, the electric drive unit is powerful enough to climb hills and make smooth trips around the city. Depending on the configuration, it can reach a top speed of 28 mph on even terrain.
Clean energy comes from a single 84V, 1080 Wh battery. It slides into a receptacle below the saddle, while an extra slot can hold a second battery as backup. A full charge promises a range of approximately 31 miles. The 360 uses hydraulic disc brakes to stop on a dime, while the wheels wrapped in 120/90 tires enhances overall handling and riding comfort.
