The Crown Royal distillery has taken their full-bodied Deluxe Canadian whisky and infused it with the smoky soul of locally-sourced Texas mesquite wood. The result is a unique tipple with our favorite kind of flavor–smoky and spicy yet still going down as smooth as silk.
Clocking in at 80 proof, the limited-edition Crown Royal Texas Mesquite begins with “a nose of mesquite smoke and vanilla with hints of barbecue spice.” The smoky affair continues on the palate, where oak and caramel notes are also noted, while the finish is light with more of the rustic smokiness and barbecue notes lingering on the tongue. The new concoction comes in its recognizable signature box and bag embellished with the famous Lone Star (if you buy it in Texas, that is).
