Today, Samsung has launched its Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus phones and, as expected, they’re better than ever. On top of the skills the excellent S8 already had, the new models come with a smarter 12-MP rear camera with dual-aperture technology which adjusts the amount of light that comes into the lens, for greater quality photos in both low and bright light.
Both phones also have a front-facing 8MP camera and offer upgraded slow-motion video recording of up to 960 frames-per-second at 720p, while the Galaxy S9 Plus packs an extra 12-MP front cam with wide-angle and telephoto lens. The AOLED display on the S9 is 5.8″ and 6.2″ on the S9+, with the former providing 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage, while the latter gets bumped to 6 GB and internal storage of 128 GB.
Other noteworthy features for both models include AKG-tuned stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, face recognition and iris scanning technology, water/dust-resistance, and wireless charging support. Officially arriving on sale on March 16, the S9 and S9+ come in Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue or Lilac Purple.
