The machine is equipped with a choice of i7/i5 Intel Core brains running up to 4.2 GHz with 32 GB DDR4 Ram and 2 TB SSD storage support. It provides a 14″ 4K anti-glare, multi-touch screen standard with the option to upgrade to 10-bit, one billion color HP DreamColor display calibrated to 100% compliance with Adobe RGB.

The ZBook x2 has an optional ZBook Dock available that is said to be able to run two 4K displays using Thunderbolt 3. Battery life is listed as 10 hours on a single charge, while a 30-minute fast charge can bring the ZBook x2 back to 50% power. It can serve as either laptop or tablet and has an optional back-lit Bluetooth keyboard and a battery-free pen providing over 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity.
