Land Rover Discovery SVX

Land Rover is suggestively showing off what they call a ‘production preview’ of their new 2018 Land Rover Discovery SVX to showcase their continued success with top-line, off-road capabilities.

The full-sized Land Rover Discovery SVX has been been given a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 producing 518 horsepower and has coupled it to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Greater ground clearance has been incorporated with the company promising even greater water-wading ratings than the current Defender’s 33.4″ maximum for superior off-road accessibility. The raised unibody has four-corner air suspension for a smoother ride and 31″ Goodyear Wrangler all-terrain tires.

The Land Rover Discovery’s Hydraulic Active Roll Control manages wheel articulation that is coordinated for greater surefootedness across a wide range of terrain and sports active center and electronic rear locking differentials. Land Rover is still sparse on details but this is a good idea of what the new production will deliver next year.
