Hybridization can sometimes allow you to get the best features of several objects rolled into a single one. This is what Michigan boutique car manufacturer Equus has done to get their Bass 770 Muscle Car ($534K). With a silhouette and fastback like a 1960’s Ford Mustang, front end and rear profiles like 1960’s and 1970’s Chryslers, and a little touch of Dodge, this sleek ride is ready to take on all challengers.
Sporting a 6.2 liter, 640 horsepower supercharged aluminum V8 engine, it pulls 605 ft. lbs. of torque. Coupled with a manual six-speed transmission, the Equus Bass 770 can hit 0 to 60 in a quick 3.4 seconds and won’t top out till 200 mph. The aluminum chassis along with its superformed aluminum body enhanced with carbon fiber insets gives structural integrity to this weighty 3,640 pound vehicle.
Inside, retro meets techno in the leather covered console. For instance, there is a touch screen with satellite navigation and USB connectivity alongside an old style steering wheel. Equus has a multitude of custom options available for the Bass 770 so finding your perfect combination may be almost as much fun as driving this unique muscle car.
