You might think that Ford’s new 2017 Raptor off-road pickup was all you needed to take on the roughest terrain, but Hennessey decided to take them and make the best even better! In case you didn’t know, Hennessey Performance Engineering, just West of Houston, Texas, makes their living modifying and tuning fine automobiles.
Starting with a stock Ford Raptor, they added an extra axle to make the VelociRaptor a 6×6 mean vehicle with upgraded Fox suspension. Add on 6 20″ off road tires, new bumpers and a rollbar with a modified aluminum bed and it is ready for the performance upgrade.
The Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 Truck ($295K+) pushes the 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 from a stock 450 horsepower to a massive 600 horses by upgrading to twin turbochargers, stainless steel exhaust modifications, and front mounted air to air intercooler. With the intention of pushing Mercedes’ G63 AMG 6X6 from the top spot in aggressive off road 6×6’s, Hennessey is demonstrating the true power of “Made in America!” All is left now is seeing how it stacks up against the 563hp German beast …
