Originally founded to provide gear for prospectors to the Klondike Gold Rush, Filson provides a line of clothing, accessories, and luggage for the modern outdoor sports enthusiast. They pride themselves on the quality manufacture of any product that carries their name and the Filson Buckeye Folding Knife ($750) is no exception.
Individually hand-crafted by Seattle, Washington based metal and leather smith Robb Gray, this 8″ long drop point folding style knife has a 3 9/16″ stonewashed N690 stainless steel blade. It is housed in an East Coast buckeye wood and black resin handle and is liner locking. Each of these numbered and documented knives comes in its own vegetable-tanned Filson bridle leather sheath with belt loop.
While this exclusive knife has the look and feel of a showpiece object it is a fully functional drop point knife. Wiping or brushing is the recommended cleaning method for keeping this beautiful (and definitely not cheap) work-of-art in top condition.
