Originally released in 1999 as an entry-level luxury car, the Lexus has built a reputation for unbreakable reliability. Now, the car’s 3rd generation has refined that look with understated style. The 2017 Lexus IS ($TBA), while overtly looking very similar to its predecessors, has tweaked its design with edgier headlights, reshaped bonnet, a spindle front grille & new tail lights.

The big difference is in the new technological changes, though. You will find a pre-collision warning system, lane departure warnings, radar cruise control, and automatic high beam dipping, all standard. The chassis has been redesigned for greater rigidity and the rear subframe and cowl-side bracing offers much sharper handling. Options include blind spot monitoring & cross-traffic alerts.

With your pick between three powertrains – the turbocharged 241 hp, a six-cylinder 255 hp or a 3.5 liter V6 producing 308 hp, you can also choose between rear or all-wheel drive.
