It might not carry a particularly catchy name but the BMW M760Li xDrive ($TBA) sure won’t disappoint in terms of handling, power, and of course, opulence. The new Bimmer is excitingly quick for a two-ton luxury limousine.
Fitted with a 6.6-liter twin turbo V12 engine that pumps out 600 hp and 590 ft-lb of torque, the long wheelbase sedan zips from 0-62 mph in a mere 3.9 seconds, and is capable of topping 155 mph (an optional M Driver’s Package gives you 189 mph). This massive power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox, while an active roll stabilization and rear-wheel steering ensure a comfortable ride and superior handling. The new M760Li also comes with a host of active driver aids: speed limit-detecting radar cruise control, lane keeping assist, rear-collision prevention & cross traffic alert; providing some extra safety features in a vehicle with BMW pedigree.
