When you are accustomed to surfing giant waves, it’s fine to indulge in a relaxing soak every now and then. That’s what surfer Laird Hamilton is doing on this board.
You can see the ride in the video below, and it looks to be quite relaxing. And fun. Jetsurf ($13,500+) is the name of the board, and is basically just a regular surfboard with a jet engine, made by Czech Martin Sula, who works as an engineer in Formula 1, so he knows how to put together a speed monster. You control the surf by redistributing your weight on the board, while the accelerator is embedded in a string that’s attached to your wrist, so you can you ride at speeds of up to 35mph. We recon the Jetsurf is the ideal toy for the summer.
