We love an exciting new brand of tequila, but we have to admit that when we first heard the story behind Casamigos Tequila ($50) we found it a bit patronizing.
The story goes that George Clooney and his Hollywood buddies (think Ocean’s Eleven) had been using private tequila made just for them for years. That tequila was Casamigos, and to be honest the story led to plenty of rolled eyes in the MensGear office. However, we have to take our pessimism back because now that this private stash has gone public we have to say that it has tickled our taste buds nicely.
Whether it was for George Clooney or the bum on the street, Casamigos is just very good tequila with a smooth peppery taste that slips down easily.
