Tread Flex is Peloton’s most compact and least expensive treadmill to date at $2,195. It’s ideal for small spaces, like condos and tiny apartments, as it takes up minimal floor space when stored. It reduces its footprint by nearly 50 percent when stowed, making it ideal for those looking for inventive compact treadmills at an affordable price point.

This machine also rolls on caster wheels for easy mobility and repositioning. It uses a two-stage release mechanism that lowers the running deck gradually to the floor. Peloton says this is designed for safety and takes about 20 seconds, giving you plenty of time to move out of the way. Another safety feature is the locking pin that prevents the treadmill from accidentally opening when stored upright.

When you’re in the groove, Tread Flex lets you shift positions effortlessly thanks to a swivel screen, although it has no camera. It lets you transition from walking or running into floor-based exercises like yoga or stretching. It operates quietly, making it ideal for late-night workouts or early-morning runs.

Peloton calls its motor “ultra-quiet” at just 70dB even at its top speed of 12.5 mph when unoccupied. It’s noticeably quieter than most treadmills on the market. The brand also positions this machine primarily for hikers, walkers, and those who prefer low-impact cardio.

Moreover, Tread Flex supports AI-powered software features through Peloton’s Peloton IQ platform. Its ReRun feature lets you sync the machine to your Garmin, Apple Watch, or Fitbit. This lets you upload runs recorded on the watch to the treadmill so you can take the same course, including incline changes, in the comfort of your home.
