Individually handcrafted with care, the Arrow & Board Leather Wallets ($27+) belong to a kind of goods that are hard to find nowadays, where top quality and durability raise above mass-producing for sales.
Coming form a small workshop in Austin, Texas, the wallets use English bridle and full grain & vegetable tanned leather sourced from Wickett & Craig‘s – one of the oldest operating tanneries in the United States. These leathers go through painstaking methods like drum-dyeing and hot stuffing, to ensure the finished products will have deep, beautiful colors, with a smooth finish on both grain and flesh sides. The company currently offers different models to choose from, all featuring a minimalist design, but with enough room to fit several cards and some cash.
One of my favorite EDC items is the Fold wallet in Whiskey Brown (of course), which is made from a solid piece of burnished leather, has a large pocket & flap holder, and is hand saddle stitched. Fancy one? Keep in mind that each Arrow & Board wallet is made to order, with a current turn around time of one week. Needless to say, the waiting is well worth it.
