As huge fans of Bell & Ross (and everything made of carbon fiber), we had to feature this new, mean looking hunk of a watch. Feast you eyes on the robust, yet sophisticated Bell & Ross BR-X1 Carbon Forgé ($20,000)!
Paying tribute to the Bell X-1, the first American airplane with a rocket engine to exceed the speed of sound, B&R continues to drive innovation by launching its fifth-generation watch. It’s a high-end chronograph equipped with a lightweight, ultra-resistant material: forged carbon, the same matter often used in plane fuselages. The result is an attractive marble-resembling 45mm case that has been kicked it up a notch by the addition of a ‘bumper’ and chronograph pushers made of ceramic & rubber. The high-tech construction continues on the back of the watch with a titanium and a grey-tinted sapphire crystal, exposing the 56-jewel automatic movement that boasts a beautiful skeletonised dial. The Bell & Ross BR-X1 Carbon Forgé is available in a limited run of 250 pieces.
