As big fans of Indian Motorcycles, we had to feature the latest member of the Chief line-up: the 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse Motorcycle ($17.000) – an aggressive, raw looking bike with a minimalist profile, all covered in sleek black paint.
Designed to appeal to a younger male audience, this motorcycle is the lightest and fastest model in the Chief family. It is basically Chief Classic that got stripped of the flashy chrome, ditching the spoked wheels for stealthy cast wheels, and with some added blackened boldness. The Dark Horse rises up to its name, featuring blacked-out wheels, forks, handlebars, engine, bodywork, and even the infamous warbonnet on the front fender. Specs include an asphalt-tearing Thunder Stroke 111 engine with 119 ft/lbs of torque, remote keyfob ignition, cruise control and ABS brakes. The Dark Horse arrives as a solo seater, but can be accomodated with a passenger seat, among other 40 available accessories including ape hanger handlebars, fender struts, slip-on exhaust with black heat shields and exhaust tips, and black fender trim.
