Snapchat, the ephemeral messaging app, has joined forces with Bitmoji allowing users to send personalized bitmoji emojis in chats and snaps.
The messaging giant has introduced several new features in the last few months, the latest being ‘Memories‘. This feature allowed users to save and re-share their old snaps.
Now, the latest new feature coming to Snapchat, is ‘Bitmojis‘. You’ve probably heard of Bitmoji, a startup that lets you create personalized emojis of you and your friends. You can create a cartoon avatar for yourself using several moods and stickers available in the archive.
Creating bitmojis is quite simple and can all be done using a free to download app that’s available on both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
To be able to send Bitmojis on Snapchat, you will first have to connect the two apps. You will need to download the Bitmoji app first. Once you’ve created an account, launch Snapchat, and link the Bitmoji account in Settings. You can also sign up for a new Bitmoji account from within Snapchat.
Once the Snapchat Bitmoji link is established, you can start sending personalized emojis via chat or add them to your snaps. If you haven’t created any bitmojis, then you’ll need to do so in the Bitmoji app.
You can also create a ‘friendmoji’ with another friend which would include the both of you. This will only happen when the other friend also has the Bitmoji app installed and has it linked with their Snapchat.
