The monstrous Meizu Pro 6 was recently announced in Beijing, China and features some high end specs such as a deca-core processor, 4GB RAM and more.
The Pro 6 is the successor to last years Pro 5 and features several improvements in both the design and hardware department.
According to Meizu, the Pro 6 has 48 percent less plastic than the iPhone. It features an all metal body and is similar to previous Pro phones. It does look very premium and stylish, with all the hardware required to make it a high-end smartphone.
Meizu Pro 6 Specs
The Meizu Pro 6 features some impressive hardware. It has a 5.2 inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and includes 3D Touch technology. The display is similar to Apple’s 3D Touch display and allows you to interact with apps and the UI by pressing down on the screen.
The smartphone also comes with a deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor that has two Cortex-A72 cores running at 2.5GHz, four Cortex-A53s at 2.0GHz, and four Cortex A53s running at 1.4GHz. The processor is coupled with a Mali-T880MP4 GPU for gaming and 4GB of DD3 RAM.
You also get 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, but there isn’t any microSD slot for adding extra storage. In the camera department, Meizu has included a 21 megapixel Sony IMX230 camera at the back. It features laser and phase detection auto-focus.
Although the camera is similar to the one found in the Pro 5, it features a thinner lens assembly and a 10-LED ring flash. The front camera is a 5 megapixel shooter for selfie enthusiasts. All this is powered by a 2,560mAh battery, which isn’t a lot, so don’t expect it to last very long.
Other features on the Meizu Pro 6 include a USB Type-C port, a faster 0.2 second fingerprint sensor, mCharge 3.0 fast charging, two nano-SIM trays, and a Cirrus Logic CS43L36 audio chip. The phone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, but with Meizu’s FlyMe 5.6 UI.
The 32GB of the Meizu Pro 6 will be sold in China for ¥2,499, which is around $390. The 64GB variant of the device will be sold for ¥2,799, and that’s around $430. The phone is available in black, silver, and gold.
