The Right Edition
You might be surprised to know that Windows 10 has numerous editions — seven of them, to be exact. But the versions that matter the most are the ones that closely resemble the past editions of the platform, simply because these are the versions that most of us will have no problem trying to understand.
These versions are Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro Editions.
Computers running on Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, or Starter Edition are eligible for a free upgrade to the Windows 10 Home Edition, provided that the upgrade is downloaded before the date mentioned above.
After the said date, a Windows 10 Home Edition upgrade will cost $119.99, while a Windows 10 Pro Edition upgrade will cost $199.99.
If you use your computer strictly for personal use, the Windows 10 Home Edition is likely the version that will suit you best.
