The battle between Sony and Microsoft rages on. Despite the fact the both their consoles have received updated iterations within the last few months, gamers seem to be more interested in what you’re able to play. Three months ago, Sony increased the price of its Playstation Plus membership. The membership allows you to play online as well as the ability to download a few select games for free. The line-up in recent months has been dismal to say the least. Players hoped that with the price increase, Sony will make more Triple A titles available for free on the PlayStation Plus service, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. On Microsoft’s corner, we have Xbox Live Games With Gold, which is the equivalent of PlayStation Plus. However, Microsoft have been more lenient towards gamers and have given players access to quite a number of Triple A titles. This month, they’ve made even more games available for free.
Here are the list of free games coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 this month.
Xbox One
• Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (available from December 1-31)
• Murdered: Soul Suspect (available from November 16-December 15)
• Outlast (available from December 16-January 15)
Xbox 360
• Outland (available from December 1-15)
• Burnout Paradise (available from December 16-31)
That is quite the bargain as these games have received rave reviews at their respective time of release. What can Sony do to come back, I wonder? Well, with Christmas around the corner, they have ample time to offer gamers some great deals, especially since the PlayStation 4 Pro has been released as I’m sure players would kill for more affordable games to play on their shiny new 4K gaming console and television sets. They’d need to spice things up considering how dreadful the PlayStation Plus games line-up looks this month. Shocking. Absolutely shocking. Xbox Players wanting to game in 4K have to wait a full year for the release of the Xbox Scorpio, but for now, the leaner, more efficient Xbox One S will have to tide players over ‘til then.
