A Snapchat love story
First it was hundreds, then it was thousands, and now — millions of curious minds follow a true-to-life love story born out of Snapchat
It’s been a while since the world last saw an actual real-life love story of ordinary people — real, everyday people who are truly simpleton and are no reality stars, that is.
So imagine the thrill going down ordinary people’s spines when they finally witnessed one — a real-life love story unfolding right before their very eyes.
So, how did that start?
Apparently, people have Snapchat to thank for on this one. Technology never fails to surprise us every time.
Not too long ago
Not too long ago a lady named Abby Diamond was in search of true love when she found a random guy in a UQ Snapchat story, and he swept her off her feet — though he didn’t know it, yet.
Not long after that, Abby decided to try her luck and post about her love on the University of Wisconsin campus story, not really caring if she gets rejected — or if she will even be noticed in the first place.
In the post, this is what she said:
“To the guy wearing the Vikings jersey in the UQ Snapchat Story, I’m seriously in love with you. Find me.”
It wasn’t long before her mysterious jersey guy picked up on her plea — to which he replied:
“To the girl from Memorial Library. It looks like they took down my first Snap. That’s okay, if it’s fate maybe they’ll post this one. Meet me here.”
But the story doesn’t end there. Apparently fate wasn’t on the lovestruck couple’s side, and for some reason, Abby missed her chance to see her mysterious guy, who happens to be Reed Bjork, that day.
After several attempts, however, the new couple were finally able to meet each other in person at a local bar — with hundreds of other students waiting to witness the first time they ever laid eyes on each other. Many of them documented the event unfold via Snapchat.
So there you go, a real-life love in the 21st century. If you wish to watch the entire love story unfold, you can watch a YouTube documentation of their Snapchat stories right here.
