The brand new SanDisk iXpand Memory Case for the iPhone 6 and 6s will add up to 128GB of extra storage and additional battery life.
A great option for those who want additional storage on their iPhone 6 or 6s. If you’ve purchased a 16GB variant, then you’ll likely run out of storage at some point. All those songs, pictures and videos will have to be moved elsewhere, or worse, deleted.
Thankfully, SanDisk has come to the rescue, with their new iXpand Memory Case. This is a bumper case that adds up to 128GB of additional storage to your device. It also protects your phone, and if you want, you can get an optional battery pack as well.
The iXpand Memory case is available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. It connects to the Lightning port to provide the extra storage. The case can also backup your camera roll to the storage available on the case.
However, the extra storage doesn’t add to the internal storage. Instead, it acts as another storage device, where you can store pictures, videos, music, and other files. To use these files, you’ll have to use the iXpand Case app by SanDisk.
You can also password protect the files stored on the case and transfer them easily between the case and your Windows or Mac PC. So yes, you do get loads of extra storage, but you can’t fully make use of the stored files. The music, videos, and photos can only be viewed using the app. Still, it’s better than having an iPhone with no space.
Easily save videos and photos, play videos and music directly from the memory case, create playlists of your favorite music, and manage the optional add-on battery pack. You can even setup automatic transfer of all your photos and videos directly to the case.
The additional battery pack is rated at 1900mAh and can provide almost another day of charge to your iPhone. The battery pack is detachable, which is quite nice, because with the pack attached, the case is quite bulky. The battery will automatically start charging when your iPhone is low on charge.
