Following the release of it’s first DLC ‘ Operation Black Ice’ in February, Ubisoft have revealed the second major DLC for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege ‘Operation Dust Line’ will be available within the next few weeks.
The newest title in the Rainbow Six franchise has been quite a big success for Ubisoft, as it was well received by both new players and long time fans of the franchise, and it’s also managed to maintain a loyal fan base by offering a tactical twist a first-person shooter and online multiplayer.
The first DLC ‘Operation Black Ice’ included two operators from Canada’s Joint Task Force 2 and a new map. In the second major DLC ‘Operation Dust Line’ there will again be the addition of two new operators, this time from the United States Navy Seals, and also a new map. The attacking operator ‘Blackbeard’ comes equipped with a rifle and riot shield, and the defensive operator ‘Valkyrie’ will have the ability to deploy sticky cameras. Both Operators can be seen in the image above.
Season Pass holders will have first dibs at the new content that will be available in the week starting on May 9th, non-pass holders can either wait a week or get instant access using an in-game micro transaction. When available they will automatically be unlocked for season pass holders, but will cost 25,000 renown for non-pass holders.
Information about the new map is yet to be revealed by Ubisoft, but they have told players to check out the Rainbow Six Pro League PC Finals on May 7th to find out more about the new Operators and “the rest of the content coming in Dust Line”. It’s expected that the new map will be available to all players for free.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is available now for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. It’s first major DLC ‘Operation Black Ice’ is also available now, with ‘Operation Dust Line’ being released on the week starting May 9th.
