Map Rumors
Back in 2012, Rockstar Producer Leslie Benzies told that they might be implementing a unique map in GTA 6 where you could visit all previous maps integrated into one big city. Of course, first issue that would appear in that case is hardware capability of new consoles. Gamers are asking for faster frame rates and demanding graphics from each and every game and connecting all those huge areas would be tricky. How much time would you need to go from one place to another for the simplest tasks, even in the beginning of the game?
London Rumors
However, GTA 5 writer, Dan Houser, stated that London will not be featured in GTA games.
“I think for us, my gut feeling is, GTA London was cool for the time, but games were more limited then. These days I think we would love to set a game in the UK, set in London, whatever, but I don’t know if it would be a GTA game. I think there are plenty of great stories we could tell about the UK, great environments to showcase, great gameplay mechanics that could have a UK bent to them – I just don’t think it would be a GTA necessarily.”
Female Protagonist Rumors
Another rumor concerns GTA 6 characters – there is growing number of fans requesting female protagonist to be introduced. Again, this rumor is not based on thin air – Rockstar had also suggested that they have considered such an idea even for GTA 5, but the storyline did not go that way. Moreover, latest GTA Online update lets players choose gender of their character.
Leslie Benzies had already stated multiple times that the team always works on the map first, and then on storyline, characters and missions. Of course, that still cannot stop the fans in spreading the rumors that Eva Mendez and Ryan Gosling will be featured in GTA 6.
Release Date Rumors
“GTA 6” will not be released before 2019.
