GTA 6: No Official Confirmation Yet

GTA 6 is without a doubt one of the most anticipated sequel to a popular gaming franchise of its time, despite the fact that its much-awaited release is rumored to have been pushed back several times over — mainly due to a number of reasons ranging from legal problems to other priorities.

Rockstar, however, hasn’t made any official confirmation of the game just yet.

While GTA 6 has long been assumed to be the installment immediately following GTA 5, Rockstar has not yet confirmed whether or not they are scheduled to work on GTA 6 next, rather than an offshoot of some kind that’s patterned after the blockbuster Grand Theft Auto Franchise.

Meanwhile, some reports claim that GTA 6 is likely to be released in 2020 rather than the originally anticipated 2018 release, despite the fact that Rockstar has neither confirmed nor denied any rumor regarding the highly anticipated game so far.

GTA Online, on the other hand, is currently doing well, and has so far provided much of the company’s multimillion-dollar profits as of late.

So much so, in fact, that analysts suspect that the online gaming platform’s unprecedented success may have caused further delays to Rockstar’s anticipated GTA 6 project.

GTA 6 is expected to come with a full VR feature, and is believed to have a release date that’s likely to be side-by-side with either Sony’s PlayStation 5 or Microsoft’s XBox Two, and is inclined to possess features compatible with the latest models of both Sony’s and Microsoft’s gaming consoles.

GTA 6 is also expected to be a deviant among the Grand Theft Auto installments, mainly because the company has previously had a legal run-in with Rockstar’s former big boss, Leslie Benzies.

Rockstar’s conflict with Benzies involves a multimillion-dollar suit that’s likely to affect both the gameplay and appearance of GTA 6 in its entirety, despite rumors that both parties have already agreed to a fairly amicable settlement.

Fans, however, will have to wait for official confirmation from Rockstar itself before getting their hopes up on the expected release of the highly anticipated game.
