Fallout 4’s publisher Bethesda have announced that their upcoming DLC ‘Far Harbor’ will be bigger than Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion‘s largest DLC. So it’s safe to say it’s going to be a huge addition to the game.
Now that Fallout 4’s first DLC ‘Automatron’ has been released, fans of the game will have already set their eyes on what is to come next from Bethesda in the form of add-ons. One gamer decided to go straight to the source and tweet the studio’s Vice President of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, and asked:
“On a scale of Pitt to Shimmering Isles how big will Far Harbor be? You said biggest, but the isles were just… so awesome”
To which Pete Hines simply replied “it’s bigger in size than Shivering Isles. I asked.”
This is massive news for Fallout fans because the Oblivion DLC mentioned above brought a tonne of new content to the game, as well as an additional area that was about a quarter of the entire map. By adding this much to Fallout 4 it will bring a whole new lease of life to the game, and anyone who’s taken a short hiatus from playing will have no choice but to step back into the Boston wasteland.
Although ‘Far Harbor’ will in fact have less new playable content when compared to ‘Shivering Isles’, it will be the biggest land mass created by the Bethesda team. The wide-range of new locations and space to build settlements will further increase the game’s creative values, as well as add to the replay factor. If ‘Automatron’ has given you good reason to come back to Fallout 4, then ‘Far Harbor’ will give you a huge reason to stay when it’s released.
Fallout 4’s ‘Far Harbor’ DLC will be released in May for Xbox One, PS4 and PC – it will cost $25.
