A new BBM for BlackBerry 10 update was released recently that brings a bunch of new stuff along with several bug fixes and performance improvements.
Users of BlackBerry 10 devices will be happy to know that software updates for their now no-longer supported devices will keep coming. Apps, and other services on BB 10 devices will receive support even if they aren’t supported.
Here onwards, BlackBerry will only be releasing smartphones with Android on-board. Last month, the company released updates for BBM on Android, as well as iOS. The update brought the long sought after video calling feature to the app for both Android and iOS users.
In the latest BBM for BlackBerry 10 update, you will not see a lot of changes, but there are several bug fixes and other improvements. Here’s all that’s new in the update;
- Search your BBM chats, contacts, groups and channels
- Request a contact’s location with enhancements to Glympse
- Enhancements to Privacy & Control, retract pictures, retract all sent messages in a chat, and retract and edit messages in multi-person chat
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
BBM version 10.13.6.10 isn’t a big update, but does include some welcome features as mentioned above. If own a BlackBerry 10 device, you should most definitely update to the latest version of BBM. The update is available from the BlackBerry World.
