Here’s another collaboration all you sneakerheads out there will definitely want to see. New Balance just hit up Tokyo Design Studio to make these ultra-limited edition RC-1 QS-size sneakers. They boast a design that’s unmistakably, well, New Balance.

Created and developed in Japan (meaning you can expect nothing less than topnotch craftsmanship and build quality), these kicks are the ultimate evocation of that signature New Balance Sport Style, blending fashion, comfort, and function to make one great pair of shoes that will last long, look good on you regardless of what you wear, and help you stay comfortable while you’re at it.

In particular, this model features an upper that blends a variety of knit fabrics in addition to a carefully patterned nubuck for that pushes the New Balance image forward. That and it stays true to the New Balance aesthetic, which is a harder task to achieve than you might imagine. Sure, they’re not “out there” design-wise, but sometimes you just want to let go of the gimmicks and own a pair of classic, no-frills footwear that you don’t have to think twice about.

You’ll also find, most notably, Abzorb cushioning as a charming finishing touch. On the sole you’ll see split detailing that only adds to the overall modern appeal of the pair. The RC-1 comes with either a black or gray upper, plus a white midsole that’s broken off by a splash of blue. Blue, white, and black usually don’t mix well, but this time the result is just killer.
