In an effort to create a more durable watch, Casio designed the original G-Shock model in 1983. Now, to celebrate 35 years of shock-resistant wristwatch success, they have released a set of five distinct G-Force watches, all embracing a matte black finish.

The Big Bang Black Casio G-Shock Watches ($TBA) all have the sturdy shock resistant frames the brand is famous for as well as proven Casio movements. The matte black finish was developed using a process that incorporates light absorbing particles in the paint to give the watches a black “as deep as the Universe.”

Along with the special finish, the new timepieces each have the 35th Anniversary logo, designed by graphic artist Eric Haze, engraved on the case back and the phrase “Since 1983” boldly displayed in red on the watch dials. Whether choosing an analog or digital style, the Big Bang Black edition watches are as sleek as they are strong.
