Things just got a bit more exciting for the RM Sotheby’s Monterey Auction in California next month. They have just announced their acquisition of a single-owner collection of thirteen Ferraris that are up for grabs with all but three of them set at “No Reserve.”

Dubbing this group the Ferrari Performance Collection ($Auction), RM Sotheby’s feels that there is plenty of choice here whether the buyer is looking for a well-maintained, low-mileage Ferrari for the road, or to fill in a collection. The only three Reserved vehicles are a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta, a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Berlinetta by Scaglietti, and the 1969 Ferrari Dino 206 GT.

Gord Duff, RM Sotheby’s global head of auctions, feels that it is unlikely the cars will sell together but will most likely appeal to a younger collector market seeking to build their own equity, especially the newer vehicles since five of them are post millennial.
