For a new way to keep up with small items around the home or office, design house Xivestory has created the Anibite Gear Holders ($15). Replacing ugly and limited-use hooks, the Anibites are shaped like the heads of animals and use a patented one-touch system to open or close the jaws so they can hang your items in their mouths.
The heads are light, only 38 grams (1.3 oz.), and made of a certified eco-friendly, bio-based resin. Capable of holding up to 300 grams (10.5 oz.) of weight, these heads can attach to any surface using a safe, reusable polyurethane gel. It won’t harm the surfaces applied to and they do not have to be perfectly smooth. A simple twist removes the AniBite Gear Holder and a simple wash & dry refreshes the non-toxic polyurethane-gel suction plate for repositioning.
There are three heads available; a brown bear, black panther, and a silver wolf. The teeth that hold the items in place are blunt and child-safe. Additionally, Xivestory donates a portion of each sale to support animal conservation groups. [via]
