DMD named their Seventy Five helmets after the year the company opened for business. Now, over 40 years later, they have launched a replica of their iconic off-road Racer helmet from the Golden Age, dubbed Waves ($433).

While the styling remains the same as the original 70’s model, the helmet has been upgraded to conform to modern safety standards, with a Carbon/Kevlar construction that is DOT & ECE compliant for use on either side of the Big Pond. The Seventy Five has a washable removable liner, a padded chin strap with double D-ring closures, a prominent chin bar with aggressive-looking vents, and a face port that provides room for goggles or to fasten a visor from the snap-on studs.

The Wave comes in six sizes – from XS all the way through 2XL, and boasts a 70’s-inspired paint job – a brown base contrasted by red, orange, and yellow stripes. [via]
