Shwood Canby Cactus Sunglasses

Shwood Eyewear has just released a new model of sunglasses that take their iconic Canby wooden frames to a new level of natural with the inclusion of cactus skeletons, so each pair has a unique pattern.  As part of their new Desert Cactus Collection, the Shwood Canby Cactus Sunglasses  ($295) start with domestic walnut hardwood from around Shwood’s Portland, Oregon home. Then, using a process to stabilize the organic matter, real dried cactus skeletons are used in the resin casting that produces the distinctive forked lightning pattern of each pair.

Once coupled with Japanese CR-39 anti-reflective gray polarized lenses for 100% ultraviolet protection and the rugged spring hinges from Germany, the unique shades showcase the blending of the arid desert wastes with the Pacific Northwest’s rainforest in a silhouette that is designed to look good on almost any face and any gender.  The lenses are 55mm wide with an 18mm bridge and a temple length of 141mm.
