Escape Homes has spent the last twenty-five years designing and building professionally hand-crafted recreational homes and trailers. The newest addition to their line is the Tradition Tiny House ($53K), a towable dwelling for those who prefer a more house-like appearance.

The Tradition has a gabled roof, cedar exterior siding, a pine wood tongue, and groove construction inside. It comes in several sizes, from 21 ft up to the 25 ft model that has a covered porch. The tiny home can run off standard RV hookups or can have the off-grid option added for solar power. Also optional is a composting toilet rather than water flushing for the environmentalists.

The primary floor is mostly an open lounge, kitchen, and dining area with a pull-down dining table and room for a sofa or sofa bed. The kitchen features a sink, three burner propane stove with oven, and a full-sized refrigerator. The compact bathroom has shower, toilet, sink and storage space. The sleeping loft features a 4-foot central clearance and is accessed by ladder unless the stairs option is chosen.

Tiny homes like the Escape Tradition are an excellent way to get away from it all without ever having to be away from home. [via]
