Swiss luxury watch maker Hublot is famous for blending seemingly unrelated ideas into the design and construction of their quality timepieces.  The newest in a long line of excellence is the Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Concrete Jungle Watch ($19,500).

Paying homage to the original “concrete jungle,” New York City, Hublot has brought in renown street artist Tristan Eaton to help design this limited edition interpretation of timekeeping with the liveliness of the city that never sleeps.  There will only ever be fifty of these unique watches, the first in history to have actual concrete integrated in the bezel.  On the back of the case the chronograph features an Eaton original artwork of the Statue of Liberty.

Inside, this classic timepiece runs the sixty-jewel HUB1155 automatic movement.  The dial is highly skeletonized to see both the movement and embellishments.  Despite what may appear to be a cluttered look, the hands and hour indicators are rhodium plated, a process Hublot has perfected, so legibility is assured.  If you love NYC, here is a prime way to show that affection to the world.
