It’s amazing what a talented artist can do with a bit of imagination and other people’s trash. Case in point, the extraordinary Cast-off Junk Creatures by Edouard Martinet ($Inquire).

Similar to the Hubcap Creatures we’ve featured in a previous post, the striking works of art you see here are made entirely using “junk culled from flea markets and car boot sales,” including old bike fenders, chains, headlights, car ventilators, ski boots fasteners, moped indicators, nutcracker handles, spaghetti tongs, and more.

Martinet’s sculptures represent insects, fish, and animal forms, all put together with parts that are screwed together, instead of welded. This results in visually rich forms that stand out through their formal clarity and elegance of articulation.
