As we predicted 3 years ago, Lexus has decided to use the gorgeous design and feature set of their LF-LC concept roadster, and now have finally unveiled a production version. Here’s the all-new 2017 Lexus LC 500 ($TBA) luxury coupe.
Powered by the brand’s proven 5.0-liter V-8 with 467 hp, this flagship coupe reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and it uses exhaust sound-control valves plus other tricks, to provide “a robust growl.” To help improve performance, the LC 500 sports a new 10-speed automatic transmission, an optional carbon fiber roof, as well as a front-engine, rear-drive setup that provides an impressive 52/48 weight distribution.
The sexy LC 500 boasts athletic, aerodynamic lines, with a low and wide profile. It wears a chrome-bordered, 3D-style mesh grille, triple LED headlights, a rear diffuser and optional deployable spoiler, multi-layered tail lamps, and 20″ or 21″ forged aluminum wheels. Other details include a leather-wrapped interior, a new premium Pioneer audio system, Lexus’ renowned safety technology, and an intuitive control layout that invites to fast driving.
